Wildland Fire Training

During the hot dry weather, brush fires are common. When the weather is nice and hot we take the opportunity to train the juniors on the basics of attack lines, water supply connections, making up long lines, back up lines, the use of appliances and proper hoseline techniques. The most important skill learned is teamwork, working together gets the job done quicker with everyones help.
Juniors train on making up lines, attaching them to the resuce,
and advance the proper length to flip the funnel off the chair.
Two crews shown working together to make up a 600ft line to flip
the funnel.
Teamwork displayed as juniors rerack hose, clean the apparatus, and
get ready for the next call.
After all the hard work is done, the Chief & Asst Chief show up
for pictures.
